About Plektis

The Name

Plektis (πληκτίς) is an Ancient Greek word for a complex, multi-stringed triangular harp — the Lydian harp. Originating in Asia Minor, it featured roughly 20 strings in a tightly woven layout, requiring a larger wooden frame than a standard lyre to handle the tension.

In Esperanto, "plektis" is the past tense of "plekti" — meaning "wove", "braided", or "intertwined".

The Logo

Our logo is a stylised Lydian harp — the arched frame with strings fanning from the neck to the soundbox. A nod to the instrument that gave us our name.

What We Do

We build browser extensions — focused, practical tools for Chrome and Firefox. Each one does one thing well, with no tracking, no accounts, and no data collection.

Like the strings of a harp woven together to create something useful, our extensions are simple components that work together to make browsing better.
